Unit complies with EMC automotive directive

The e-Mark, which indicates that the printing unit is fully compatible with appropriate EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) requirements, is specifically designed for products used in motor vehicles designed for operation on the road. In adhering to ECM guidelines, Extech Data Systems ensures that the S1500T mobile printer is ideal for a variety of distribution and transportation applications, including taxi-cabs.
All electronic equipment that earns the e-Mark has achieved full compliance with Automotive Directive 95/54/EC, which articulates the suppression of radio interference sparked from electronic equipment fitted to motor vehicles. In addition to this compatibility, the S1500T provides wireless connectivity with a specially designed IrDA interface, making it ideal for in-vehicle use. A Built-in magnetic card reader as well as optional integrated Bluetooth™ radio are each available.
With automatic thermal print contrast, the S1500T produces a high speed, high resolution print, significantly reducing print time per receipt. A clamshell-style loading system and push-button release for the paper door make changing paper rolls easy and convenient. Built-in detectors monitor temperature, voltage, and paper-out.
The S1500T contains a highly integrated, state-of-the-art microprocessor complete with a flash-based integrated CPU that manages all features supported by the printer. The system has built-in Flash and SRAM memory to allow the user to add logos, bar codes and other graphic elements to the receipt.
DC power options are also available for the S1500T, and the printer is fully functional when utilizing an automotive power supply. This feature is particularly helpful for a variety of in-vehicle applications, such as remote transaction processing, receipt printing, and ticketing.
The printer is in-field programmable for firmware, font and logo setup, and comes with a 12-month warranty on all parts including print head.
